Laura Plad
Plad is passionate about sculpted wigs, surface design and making repeat patterns that are bold, playful, and highly detailed. In addition to pattern, Laura enjoys fashion and creating campy, glamorous, and hand-embellished wigs, garments and accessories. When she’s not in the studio, she attends local drag shows and queer events where she finds her inspiration.

• All Wigs are roughly 15” x tall 10” in diameter.
• Each Wig is sculpted out of a proprietary mixture of paper mache´ clay.
• Painted with acrylic paint.
• Hand-embellished by the artist who glues each individual glass rhinestone.
• All Wigs are mounted on, and permanently affixed on to a hand-cast plaster bust.
• The busts all have engraved branding on the lower back of the neck.
• Each bust also has branded, signed and individually named soft finish bottoms to protect display surfaces.
• Each piece comes complete with a care and repair kit that includes: touch-up paints, replacement stones, and a custom branded polishing cloth.
• Signed certificate of authenticity included with each piece.
